Cantus Firmus' second release with us is quite a different experience than "Shanghai Gal". This record is much more in the vein of A Silver Mt. Zion, The Shelabli Effect, or Tim Hecker. Lots of layered strings with crazy field samples of psychopathic jibber-jabber and white noise backgrounds of the waves of synths we have come to love from the Expo 70 recordings. There are also drum mahines, improv jazz-like guitars, whistles, and a multitude of effects that create a mood unlike any other. This is a must have for fans of Eno, Popul Vuh, Expo 70, A Silver Mt. Zion, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Can, and Faust.
