Chris Smith's Crystal Shards project is Chris at his finest, performing dynamic and experimental sounding pop songs. This is a 4 CD-R boxed set of everything Christopher Curtis Smith has recorded at home on his laptop over the last couple of years. The man is prolific. Great material here, ranging from pop-sensible sunshine songs to manic and invasive noise madness, electronic drum breaks, and mangled synthesizers. He plays msuic as though it were 1976 and he lived in Germany. It has a hint of Krautrock, but still retains it's pop sensability with mass appeal. Not radio friendly per se, but not exactly nosie either.Chris is on of our favorite musicians/artists/people in the world, and you should really like his music. Everything he makes is pure, original and unadulterated brilliance. Specially made packaging in a crazy box with all sorts of handmade artwork by Chris and Paul Kneejie (The Pope, Bipolar Bear, Megafuckers). No song listing because it would fill up half of this page.
