Healthcare is a collective of bodies united with the single goal of protesting the rising cost of healthcare in America by getting absurdly intoxicated on alcohol, barbiturates and marijuana in order to create a concept album that reflects the duality of pre and post-op experiences. This collective is comprised of Christopher Curtis Smith, Bryan Levine (of Bipolar Bear), Scott G-berg (SXBRS, German), and Kevin OA (Emery, Western Expanse). Tracks are recorded as improvisational movements to later be amputated, operated, and dissected upon by Bryan and Chris. Chris' approach is to portray the agony and writhing pain of a patient just entering the ER after losing a leg a traffic collision. Bryan prefers to relate the end of treatment, where prescription drugs are ready available and our amputee is in a dreamlike state. Each tell their own stories for the same patient, as played by Scott, Kevin, Chris, and Bryan.
