Christopher Curtis Smith

Chris makes pop songs by cutting up parts on his laptop and triggering
samples of his own guitar and piano tracks, resultling in a layered
and three-dimensional wall of pop-noise. Everything is then covered
in effects and run through various plug-ins until it seems right
to him. That may take an hour, or it may take a month. The result
is a beautifully orchestrated series of events that somehow have
a pop sensability while being entirley spacious and glitchy. Chris was a founding member of White Suits Brown
boots and has also taken part in several successful music projects
(GLASS, Western Expanse, Emery, etc.) Besides all of that, he has designed a lot of
advertisements and covers for the label. Good stuff.
